Moin immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio from “an average” South East Asian family to study at a very young age. He’s got $500 borrowed money in his pocket and one driving force: The burning desire to succeed.
His only family in America is a cousin who that time was not doing well and can’t help after all. He landed a security job at a grocery store in a gang-infested neighborhood. He rented a basement sleeping room, and enrolled in a community college. He would sleep for a few hours each night, 6-7 nights a week.
He studied on, and a man helped him get a third-shift assembly line job which his co-workers detest but he loved the job because it paid decent money and enabled him to complete his Bachelor’s Accounting Degree at Cleveland State University, after which he landed a Job in PNC Bank formerly National City Investment Management Company.
He kept studying, and in time he graduated from Case Western Reserve University with an MBA in Finance and Investment Banking. An insurance company brought him to Chicago, but within five years, he became a Key Executive of Zonal office of one of the largest insurance Companies in the world! Not too shabby, Mr. Moin Syed Haque of Naperville!
Meanwhile, in 2001 Mr. Haque found he had an uncanny knack for real estate investments and in four years owned several properties. Friends and family seek sought his help, and like Moin, couldn’t loose! He thrilled to the ability to help others change their lives though real estate. Simply, he “thought outside the box”, focused on others’ needs and sincerely wanted to help. So, he decided to study again and Moin became a real estate Agent.
Now he could officially help even more people achieve their dreams, while adding to his corporate salary. Moin resigned from his corporate position and made a bold transition to the real estate industry.
“You must think this through again,” his shocked boss said who tried to dissuade Haque from every angle. Moin took that advice, but his decision was firm. “I had to face where I could be most happy, add value to the world and be best aligned with my values, character and personality,” said the people-loving Haque.
Moin knew his passion for real estate where work was like fun every day, and he knew he could help others make real changes in their lives. Real estate had to win! He’d have the best of both worlds: having fun and earning a living. While he values money, the potential to help others means more to him.
